Top 7 shopping malls in Saigon that you should know

Saigon attracts tourists with attractive and unique sightseeing places, unique delicacies from many regions, gathering places bustling at night. Saigon is also known as “shopping paradise” in the country. In our Ho Chi Minh Travel Guide, I would like to recommend some places to visit in Ho Chi Minh for shopping.

Ben Thanh Market

This is one of the best places to visit as my Ho Chi Minh travel guide post. As a bustling place both day and night, Ben Thanh Market is considered a very interesting destination for international tourists and locals. Walking around, shopping, exploring Ben Thanh market has long been an indispensable part of Saigon tours. Visiting Ben Thanh Market is absolutely in your list of things to do in Ho Chi Minh.

Built in 1870, experiencing many ups and downs, Ben Thanh is now one of the markets with the oldest history in Saigon. Owning a beautiful location, the intersection between Ham Nghi Boulevard and Tran Hung Dao. This is a favorable condition for trade and exchange activities to take place vibrantly and bustling. 

Ben Thanh Market is also a place where you can find almost everything from popular to rare, from casual to high-end such as food, clothing, jewelry, utensils, spices, souvenirs, Electronics with good quality. 

An Dong Market – An Dong Plaza

An Dong Market was established in 1954. It is one of the central markets of the city specializing in items such as fabric, clothes, shoes, bags … Besides, it also sells more items such as dining, candies, fruits, fresh flowers, handicrafts …

Currently, beside the market, there is also a newly built An Dong Plaza. The Plaza shopping center in the building includes wholesale and retail businesses with all the items are also a famous shopping area.

Nguyen Trai Street

Nguyen Trai is a not long road. It connects two districts 1 and 5 in Saigon but has been selling famous fashion clothes for a long time.

Nguyen Trai can be divided into 3 areas:

Ward 15, district 5 is divided into groups of guests aged 15-20. Goods here are diverse categories, multi-origin: Thai, China and leftover exports are also available. Features here are soft prices, an average of 70,000-300,000 VND/piece

From Nguyen Trai – Le Hong Phong intersection to Nguyen Trai – Ton That Tung crossroads. There are a number of prestigious Vietnamese brands for young people, office fashion such as Viet Thy, Viet Tien, and Tay Do.

On top of that, some shops are located in Nguyen Trai area, District 1. This street section is only about 200m but there are quite a lot of high-end shops selling goods with the value of each product from 500,000 VND to several million VND.

Cho Lon Area

Cho Lon, also known as Binh Tay Market, is a large market of the city located on Thap Muoi Street, District 6. It is built in the 20s of the twentieth century on an area of up to 17,000m2, in the way Ancient architecture, Asian style.

Binh Tay Market has nearly 2,500 counters with more than 30 different product groups. The categories are arranged logically, focusing on each business area in order to promote the strengths of each category.

With the main items of textiles, aluminum-plastic, handbags, souvenirs, dried food …, Binh Tay Market has provided as a wholesale to most of the southern provinces and even countries in the region such as Cambodia, Laos and Thailand, … The market operates from 2-3 am to 9-10 pm. Here customers will always find satisfactory products at wholesale prices and rarely be overcharged

Saigon Square

Saigon Square is located in two convenient locations right in the center of District 1: Nam Ky Khoi Nghia and Hai Ba Trung. People often refer to Saigon Square as a “high-end market”. Because the quality of goods here is relatively good. The target audience is young people who are addicted to shopping and foreign tourists.

As soon as you step into Saigon Square, you will feel the bustling atmosphere. A special feature is the space here is bright and clean, clothes are also neatly and eye-catching.

Called “the market” because here clothes, goods sold classified by each stall as in the market. In Saigon Square 2, there are nearly 350 stalls including many diverse items. Aeon Mall Tan Phu Celadon

AEON – Tan Phu Celadon Shopping Center is located in an ideal location of Celadon City. The new 82-hectare complex urban area is also one of the largest urban areas in Saigon.

Aeon Mall Tan Phu Celadon will be a shopping center featuring a comprehensive experience for the first time in Vietnam. It will continue to bring you a richer, more diverse lifestyle.
