As Mui Ne travel guide thread, I already suggested the best places you can visit in Mui Ne. Here are more places you can put in your pocket in the center of Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province. From Mui Ne, it takes only 45 minutes to 1 hour to Phan Thiet.
Phan Thiết is the capital of Bình Thuận Province on the southeast coast in Vietnam. This place all government offices for the province are located. While most of the inhabitants live in the city center, the others live in the four urban coastal wards, extending from Suối Nước beach in the northeast towards cape Kê Gà in the southwest.

Ho Chi Minh Museum
Founded on May 19, 1986, this is the place where Uncle Ho used to live and teach in 1901 before going to Saigon to look for a way to save the country. This museum displays objects relating to Ho Chi Minh’s life, as well as the history of Phan Thiet. Visitors can stroll around the memorial flower gardens, but the bulk of the attractions is set indoors.
Van Thuy Tu Temple
This is the largest and oldest whale temple in Phan Thiet, displaying skeletal remains of whales, fishing boats, conical hats. Built-in 1762 to commemorate Ca Ong (Lord Whale), locals believe that whales are benevolent creatures that protect fishermen from bad weather and the dangers at sea. This is also the place to store authentic artifacts from the Nguyen Dynasty, including 10 ordinations of the Thieu Tri Emperor. The ordinations are more than 150 years old but still be stored and preserved intact. Especially, the Temple also has a bronze bell cast in 1872.
Ong Hoang Floor
Located on the top of Ba Nai hill, Phu Hai ward, Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province. Ong Hoang Floor is a famous historical location associated with the love story of poet Han Mac Tu and the resistance war against the French. The history of Ong Hoang Floor began in 1911, when Duke De Montpensier came to Vietnam to visit and hunt. Realizing the scenery in Phan Thiet is very charming, so he bought a 536m2 land on Ba Na hill to build a villa.
